Roof Tarp, Gainesville, FL

25 March 2025

Tarping your roof immediately after it is damaged will minimize secondary damages, which ultimately saves you (the property owner) and your insurance company a significant amount of money.

What Happened

Severe winds in Gainesville, FL bent numerous shingles allowing water penetration when it rains.

What We Did

We tarped the roof with 6 mil plastic to cover the damaged areas. We also used sandbags to hold the tarp in place as opposed to nails. Sandbags reduce further damage, but more importantly, they allow  PUDDLES  to remove the tarp show your insurance adjuster the damages without placing more holes in your roof.

It gets very hot in Florida, and Gainesville, FL is not different. If you choose a company that uses subquality materials, your property can looks like this one, which defeats the purpose of the tarp.
